I think this book was all in all pretty good. A lot of items seem to correspond with general "hippie" raising of kids, NVC, etc.

I had to return to the library before I actually finished (I think I've been spending too much time arguing on the internet lately). I will plan on getting a copy of my own, hopefully second edition, primarily for a reference when things go crazy because as I said the Internet is distracting.

I can only give 3.5 stars because (1.) I didn't finish it yet, so it could get horrible (2.) The editing was very poor, I hope second edition fixes that, (3.) there were too many "ads" for other books in the book. While I have no problem referencing other works, but (Call 1-800....to order a catalog) does not belong in the body of the work, and continually referencing your own work I think is bad form. This too I suppose could be fixed in second edition
